Developing Your Own Practice

Always begin your yoga practice by sitting quietly. These few minutes enable us to tune into our present energy allowing us to explore our daily concerns and to let go… release… soften and become centred. Pay attention to your body’s needs and practice with a quiet mind. Then, turn your attention inward and focus on the breath. As you breathe and become aware of the breath, it will bring about a greater calmness and clarity of mind. There will be an increased feeling of lightness and a renewed energy in the body.

With this focused mind, we are ready to begin the asanas. Choose a group of asanas that will be your practice of the day. Applying the principles of the practice enables your body to surf the ocean of yoga. Each day, a different * ASANA GROUP is practiced:
Standing Postures, Hand Balances, Back Bends, Forward Bends,Twists, and Sitting Postures.
The combination of Meditation, Pranayama and Asana create a well balanced practice for body, mind and spirit.
